She has a strong background in Parkinson's disease research, with previous positions at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Her research focuses on neuroprotection and neuronal recovery in neurodegenerative disease models, and she holds a CIHR grant to explore adult neurogenesis for neurorestoration in Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Van Kampen also collaborates with Neurodyn to develop neuroprotective therapies for various neurological conditions, including Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and ALS.
